How old do you need to be to drive?

When can I apply for my provisional licence?

How can I apply for my provisional licence?

Can I start driving on my 17th birthday?

Yes! Make sure to book your lessons before that date.
The Theory Test

The theory test is used to test your knowledge of the rules & regulations of the road. It has two parts, the first part is a set of 50 multiple choice questions of which you must score at least 43. The second part is a hazard perception test which involves watching a collection of short videos and clicking anywhere on the screen when you see a hazard. You must score at least 44 out of 75. The Practical Test

The practical part of the test involves driving as you normally would, but instead of us sitting next to you, an examiner sits there instead. The test costs (as of 05/06/2019) £62 for weekdays or £75 for evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Can I drive as soon as I've passed my practical test?

Yes! Once you've passed, your examiner will give you a pass certificate which you can use until you receive your full driving licence. You will also need valid tax, MOT and insurance on your vehicle.
What is the Pass Plus course?

The Pass Plus course is a practical training course that takes at least 6 hours and is for drivers to improve their skills on the road. It can be taken at anytime, but it is most useful to new drivers as it can help reduce insurance costs. https://www.gov.uk/pass-plus
